Week 7
Reflection on Lecture 7
In this week’s lecture we learnt specifically about
what makes a good or bad presentation in relation to our coursework. The first
thing we learnt is that it is important to layout a good outline of what you
will be talking about throughout your presentation. WE also learn about the
rule of 7 X 7 which is where you only use seven line of seven words each. This
is to keep the information concise and to the point which is much better when
trying to retain the attention of the people that you are presenting too. WE
also learn that making slides to colourful can often be a distraction and can
take away from what you are actually saying this is also the case for poor use
of the animation in your presentation. We also learn how a strong structure
allows for the best presentation with a clear intro body and evaluative
conclusion. WE also were taught about the power of keeping things simple and
how it allows for all of the most valuable information being on the slides and
then you can expand into more detail orally.
